La Bête à Quatre is inspired by the king's court in its attitude and postures. They wish to be noble, yet are burlesque. They are the reflection of an anti-nobility. They will fight, push each other, and sing to keep their status. The game that links them together is the relationship between dominant and dominated. An absurd relationship, which makes no sense, because we know that they need each other to use their apparatus: the teeterboard. One can't fly alone. Précieuse defends the territory of equality and equanimity.
 

The members of the collective, Rémi Auzanneau, Hernan Elencwajg, Baptiste Petit and Tanguy Pelayo, made their debut in 2014 under the circus tent of the National Circus Arts School of Rosny-Sous-Bois. Driven by a common desire to be airborne, they launch themselves onto their teeterboard and into acrobatic stunts. They continued their training at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque de Châlons-en-Champagne where they continuously enriched their common universe and their range of techniques in different artistic fields. Their desire is to question their apparatus in order to create a language of their own.
