Since its creation in 1972, the Festival de la Cité has been able to count on the unfailing support of the Services industriels de Lausanne, the leading energy and multimedia supplier in the Lausanne area. Over the years, it has become one of the biggest cultural and interdisciplinary events in Switzerland. This year, this historic collaboration goes even further. Driven by a shared desire to showcase renewable energies, the Festival de la Cité and SIL are joining forces for a 51st edition that is more respectful of the environment. All the infrastructure, concerts, stands and other facilities will be supplied with nativa®plus eco-current, made up exclusively of local and regional energy sources (photovoltaic solar, wind and drinking water turbines). In the same spirit of sustainability, all bio-waste is transformed into biogas. This eco-responsible partnership is just one of the many measures being taken to make this 51st edition even more sustainable!
