Yalla Miku

In the Bongo Joe galaxy, Yalla Miku is a bit like a supergroup amongst supergroups.  Within its members, we find Simone Aubert and Vincent Bertholet from the duo Hyperculte, Cyril Bondi and Cyril Yeterian from the duo Cyril Cyril, Samuel Ades, Ali Boushaki and Anouar Baouna, Gnawa musicians. A variety of profiles, but all of them familiar with the possibilities that cultural encounters offer, which no doubt explains the the variety of styles that the group's music takes on. Drawing as much from Gnawa and Eritrean folklore as from krautrock, Yalla Miku dissolves sonorous borders and imagines multifaceted utopias.
