Lontano

This show features strobe lights.

In this performance, which has the Cyr wheel as its totem, acrobat Marica Marinoni pushes the limits of her body and raises several questions: what is the place of our body today? Why do we choose to engage our bodies? What does a body want? Through the dialogue between flesh and wheel, Marica produces a poignant and hypnotic language. Rolling, risk-taking, escaping, spinning, deconstructing herself through the blows and falls: Lontano is an impulse of life, a hymn to resistance. Lontano is the new creation of Cie 7bis, already welcomed at the Cité in 2021 with their hypnotic solo Instante.

Marica Marinoni was born in Milan in the last days of October 1995. From a very young age, she developed a passion for the trampoline, which she practiced at a competitive level for 7 years. After two years of preparatory training at the Flick School in Turin, she was admitted to the CNAC where she continued to work on the cyr wheel and graduated from in 2019. After the tour she participated in organised by the CNAC, directed by the Galapiat Cirque collective, she has been involved in the development of different projects: she has participated in creating TRAIT(s), a creation of the Scom company, but also in the creation of the space TORO, dedicated to shows, with her circus collective CMR. Accompanied by the Compagnie 7bis, her solo Lontano is co-created with Juan Ignacio Tula.
