Hot Bodies Choir

The HOT BODIES choirs bring together people who want to share and expand their feminist and queer practices through writing and choral workshops. In this framework, experiences and ideas are exchanged, from collective reading of queer and feminist works, to writing revolutionary texts. These unique, polyphonic and undisciplined manifestos form the basis of a choral score, musically arranged by Gérald Kurdian and performed live by all participants. In collaboration with the FDS, the Lausanne choir was put into place after the choirs created Brussels and Paris. The latter will join the new Lausanne choir for their concert in the Cathedral.

Gérald Kurdian (aka GÆRALD) is a musician, perfomer, DJ and one of the many voices of current sex-positive movements. They are the founder of the queer cooperative Hot Bodies of the Future, the Hot Bodies choirs and the inclusive Hot Bodies_Club! Since 2020, they are an artist-researcher at the Ecole Supérieure d'Arts de Clermont-Métropole. Their new creation X! (un opéra fantastique) was presented at the Festival d'Automne in Paris and at the Kaaitheater in Brussels in November 2022.
