In Hark! Luísa Saraiva and Senem Gökçe Oğultekin explore their love and interest for Baroque music, in this case that of Henry Purcell. With singing, they establish a subtle relationship with the audience, turning sound into an immersive experience. You hear what you see and see what you hear. Their voices leave physical traces, traces of sound. Accompanied by musicians Peter Rubel and Nathan Bontrager, they suggest a common understanding of movement and sound, and recall their personal experiences of listening to and learning music. Hark! - Listen!

Luísa Saraiva was born in Porto. She studied psychology at the University of Porto and dance at the Folkwang Arts University in Essen. In her choreographic practice she uses a transdisciplinary approach, in which she investigates movement, language and sound. In the 2019/2020 season she was resident choreographer at K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg.

Senem Gökçe Oğultekin was born in Izmir, Turkey. She studied dance at the Folkwang Arts University in Essen and has worked as a performer with artists such as VA Wölfl, Meg Stuart, Laurent Chétouane and Mara Tsironi.
